Public Works
The Department of Public Works provides the following services to the residents of Waterford Township: curbside collection of household trash and recycling, brush, white goods/metal and the seasonal vacuuming of of leaves.
The department installs and replaces street, safety and various other signs as needed in the township. Public Works is also responsible for the maintenance of township roads, recreational facilities and buildings & grounds, as well as, the maintenance and repair of all township vehicles.

Debris generated from whole tree removal, land clearing, home remodeling or construction is the responsibility of the contractor/property owner.
The following debris are “COLLECTED CURBSIDE” by the township:
Brush/Branches - only 2” in diameter and 4’ in length will be removed. ANY DEBRIS OVER this size IS NOT COLLECTED by the township. Christmas trees, bushes, hedges and other small trees not balled, with a maximum of 2” in diameter. ONLY TIED AND BUNDLED BRANCHES WILL BE REMOVED. Please call the the Department of Public Works to be placed on the pickup list.

ARTICLES FOR DROP OFF
Used Motor Oil - from the hours of 8:00am to 3:00pm used motor oil can be taken to the Department of Public Works yard located at: 790 Burnt Mill Road, Atco, NJ
The maintenance of street lights is the responsibility of Atlantic City Electric. Please go to www.atlanticcityelectric.com and click on the “Report a Street Light Out” link.

Heavy or Bulk Trash Pickup
Heavy or Bulk trash is collected on your regular trash day. The trash company will pick up 2 large items at a stop. For example: mattress, box spring, sofa, love seats, chairs, etc.
Heavy Metal Pickup
Heavy Metal pickup is done on Tuesdays by the Public Works Department. For pickup of appliances, grills, air condition units, etc. Please contact the office at 856-767-2359 by the end of business on Monday for pickup on Tuesday.
Electronic Recycling
DISPOSAL BAN EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2011.
Beginning January 1, 2011 computers, monitors, laptops, portable computers and televisions CANNOT be disposed of in the garbage.
